FREE POKER TOOL

Are your poker stats telling you anything useful?

Enter the aggregate stats from PokerTracker or Holdem Manager. We'll flag obvious extremes, sample-size issues, and combinations worth investigating.

COMBINATION INSIGHTS

What combinations are worth checking?

VPIP
21.3%
PFR

GAP
4.4

Your preflop gap is not obviously extreme, but aggregate values do not show which calls create it.

WTSD
28.5%
W$SD
52.0%

This combination does not immediately indicate a showdown problem. Narrower river decisions still need separate evidence.

BB/100

A negative result over 12,493 hands is not enough to identify a specific strategy problem.

ILLUSTRATIVE TRIAGE RANGES

ENOUGH FOR
  • Broad aggregate profile
  • Common preflop frequencies
  • First-pass triage
NOT NECESSARILY ENOUGH FOR

THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Normal stats can still hide bad decisions.

FOLD TO 3BET
Looks ordinary.

A frequency tells you how often. A database review asks whether the right hands created that frequency.

BUT THIS NUMBER DOES NOT SHOW
  • Which hands were folded
  • Which hands continued
  • Position
  • Opponent position
  • Sizing
  • Stack depth
  • Previous action

SCOPE OF THIS TOOL
THIS CHECKER CAN HELP WITH
  • Spotting obvious aggregate extremes
  • Understanding stat relationships
  • Identifying areas worth investigating
  • Noticing when sample size is weak
THIS CHECKER CANNOT PROVE
  • That a specific decision is wrong
  • That a stat is solver-optimal
  • That your negative winrate is caused by a leak
  • That a normal-looking profile has no leaks
NEXT STEP

Your tracker can show the frequency. Your hands show the decisions.

If your stats look unusual — or completely normal — the next useful question is which repeated decisions are creating them.

QUESTIONS

Common questions

What are good poker stats for 6-max?

There is no single correct profile. Ranges depend on position, strategy, stakes, rake, pool, and sample. Aggregate stats are best used for triage rather than as universal targets.

Is VPIP 25 too high?

Not by itself. VPIP must be interpreted with PFR, position, format, and the hands creating the frequency.

What should the gap between VPIP and PFR be?

There is no universal target gap. The difference depends on position, format, stakes, rake and strategy. A very large gap can be worth investigating, but the aggregate number alone cannot tell you which calls, limps or other decisions are responsible.

Is a negative bb/100 a bad stat?

It means you lost over the sample you entered. It does not by itself explain why. Short-term results contain variance, and even a larger sample still needs decision-level evidence before a specific leak can be identified.

Can PokerTracker stats tell me my leaks?

They can show where to investigate. They cannot verify a leak on their own. Two players can have similar aggregate stats while making very different decisions in the hands underneath them.

How many hands do I need?

It depends on the question. Total hands can give useful context for common aggregate stats much sooner than for a specific turn or river spot. Evidence should be judged for the decision pattern being investigated, not by one minimum database size.

the first layer.
